Birthday Girl!

Breena had a fun birthday today!  She & I got our nails!  She choose dark blue polish & enjoyed eating a sucker while the girl polished her toes.  We then went to have lunch with daddy where she got to open up one birthday present!  Here she is doing her "make-up" at Applebees!

Bug is 3!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BREE!!!

Having 3 under3 Means...

~ ...My life revolves around poop. So far today I've changed 4 poopy diapers and assisted the older one in the bathroom.
~ ...There's crayon on my daughter's face, the walls and the screen door.  And I simply don't care!
~ ...We've had sugary cereal for breakfast everyday for the past week & I don't even feel guilty.
~ ...Letting go of having a clean house- I call it good when there's no toys to trip over.
~ ...Allowing 30 minutes to get out the door.  It really can take this long to get diapers changed, coats & shoes on, etc.
~...Learning to go with the flow and not be so schedule oriented
~...Somedays we have out pj's on until 10am because we haven't gotten around to changing yet
~...Choas. Pure Chaos.
~...Fun. Lots of Fun.

I'd be lying if I said somedays can be extremely stressful.  My patience has definately been tested at times.  But hearing their little giggles & getting an "I wuv oo mommy" before bedtime makes it worth it.

No More Preschool

Somedays being a parent is just plain hard.  Today is one of those days for me.  I pulled Breena out of preschool today & I've spent every second since questioning whether or not I made the right decision.  Breena is really struggling with seperation anxiety since Toby came home.  The first thing she told Dave & I when she woke up this morning was that she didn't want to go to preschool.  When it was time to leave I asked her to put her shoes on & she fell apart crying.  I decided then that it was not worth the anxiety for her.  She has three years until she can start kindergarten & she can try preschool again next fall.  When I called to tell her teacher that we were choosing to remove her from class her teacher assured me that Bree has a great time when she is there.  I went with my gut & decided to pull her out anyway.  I told Breena she wouldn't have to go back to preschool anymore and she started to cry hysterically.  She's mad at me because she won't see her friends.  I just can't make her happy.  I'm so torn over this decision and I'm angry at myself for starting her in the first place at the same time we were expecting a new baby.  It breaks my heart to watch her fall apart two morning a week; especially when I have the ability to change the situation.  But I still question what is best for her.  I'm guessing this is just the first of hundreds of decisions I'll second guess regarding my children.  I wish they came with an owner's manual.
