The Reason I Get Nothing Done During The Day...

I was trying to get clothes sorted & organized in a tote to send back to my sister.  We are able to share clothes because our kids are close in age- it works out great!  I went into the other room to get another pile of clothes to add to my tote only to come back & find these two stinkers sitting in said tote with the clothes all over the floor!  I should've known they were up to something- there was an awful lot of giggling going on!

Vacation!!!

We just returned from our family vacation to Alexandria!  Despite the crummy weather, we had a great time!  Thank you to my parents for the fun trip!!!

Dear Dad

I returned home from my honeymoon to find a letter from you in our apartment.  It was full of stories & listed reasons why you were proud of me & how much you loved myself & Dave.  To this day, that is most precious letter I have ever received.  I have always turned towards you when I need guidance & encouragement.  It seems like it means so much more coming from a father.  When I was contemplating whether or not to leave the salon to pursue my own business I definitely needed a nudge from you.  You always seem to know the right answer & when I really need clarity I can always count on you.  You've set an excellent example for us that working hard always pays off.  And you often initiate the laughter in our family gatherings.  I am so proud & blessed to have you as my father.  Thank you for giving me the tools to be a confident & independent person.

Buddy's First Haircut!

Eli got his first haircut on Sunday night!  Daddy & Breena sang "row, row, row your boat" to him while I cut.  He sat very nice and looks like such a handsome big boy!!!

Saturday was National Get Outdoors Day!  We decided to take the kids to Minneopa Falls.  We had fun- although Dave & I both discovered we have anxiety around waterfalls & our children.  We agreed that while we had a nice time we will not be going back until they are much older!

It was my Grandma's birthday today so the kids wanted to paint her a picture. It was a bad idea to choose paint that resembles ketchup- somebody kept eating it!

I cannot wait for our first photo together precious baby boy!

You are scheduled to arrive 3 months from today & I know the months will fly by!  Your sister is SO excited to meet you!  She kisses my tummy everyday & can't wait to help change your diapers.  Your brother is pretty clueless that you are on your way but I know he will be excited to welcome a new buddy.  We have everything just about ready for you to come home.  Keep growing big & strong (and maybe you could stop kicking my ribcage too!).  Can't wait to meet you!
