Sweet Moments

Some days daily life can be exhausting.  I'm sure everyone feels that way from time to time.  Being a mother to three children ages 3 & under is definitely a tiring job.  Toby refuses to eat solid foods & therefore insists on having a bottle every 2.5 hours day & night.  Eli continues to be an early risers despite our efforts to move his bedtime later.  Breena has recently given up her naps which means no promise of two QUIET hours every afternoon at our house.  We are always busy around our house.  Cook/Clean/Change Diapers/Referee Arguments/Give Snuggles/Play & Laugh/Repeat.  This in combination with my outside of the home job & having our house for sale is the perfect drug for some worn out parents.  But everyday there are sweet moments too; the feeling of a Dove chocolate melting on my tongue.  Like today when I peaked in on Eli while he played.  He was pantless, wearing his winter boots and doing pat-a-cake alone on his bedroom flood.  Sweet Moment. Or when I hear Breena playing "daycare" with her babies in her room.  She spreads out a blanket on the floor & carefully lays each of her babies on it.  She feeds them, rocks them, & puts them to bed.  Sweet Moment.  Or when I hear Toby happily talking to himself after a long afternoon nap.  I usually find him with both socks off while sucking on his toes.  Sweet Moment.  I love my job.  I wouldn't trade my life for anything.  And every single day that I walk around in a daze do to lack of sleep is worth it for the sweet, sweet moments like these.
