Kindness

We were able to visit Dave's parents this weekend. Our kids have so much fun up there. They live on a lake and to get to their house we have to drive a very short distance on a gravel road. Eli is fearful of loud noises. The gravel really scares him. Each time he starts to hear the little rocks bounce again our wheel well in the van he reaches over towards Breena. She instinctively grabs onto his little hand and holds it tight as we drive on the gravel. They exchange no words but instead sit quietly holding hands until we reach Grandma & Papa's house. Sometimes the the most meaningful gesture of kindness is as simple as holding someone's hand. If everyone took the time to hold a hand of someone who needs reassurance, just think what a great world this would be.
